Analyst | Builder | AI Enthusiast

Turning business problems into useful AI and product experiences.

Finance and analytics professional with a strong interest in software. Outside of work I spend my time learning AI and large language models by building real projects, from prototypes to live products, because the best way to understand new technology is to ship something with it.

About

My background combines business and finance education, regulated operations, product analytics, founder experience, and self-taught software engineering. I translate customer friction, data signals, and business goals into practical product decisions for leadership, operators, and users. I have a strong interest in software, and outside work I spend my time learning AI and large language models by building real projects, because I like turning ideas into usable systems. ChatVET is a live AI clinical assistant for veterinary professionals, shaped by close domain exposure through my wife, who is a veterinarian.

How I Work

Strengths I have built across discovery, delivery, analytics, and AI-enabled workflows.

Customer + Market Discovery

Founder experience taught me to start with user friction, market timing, and activation moments before deciding what to build.

Data-Informed Prioritization

Finance, regulatory, and product analytics work shaped how I evaluate tradeoffs, risk, adoption signals, and measurable business outcomes.

AI Prototyping + Execution

I build in my free time to test AI workflows, UX patterns, and technical feasibility. ChatVET is live with users and shows how I move from concept to usable product.

Cross-Functional Delivery

Experience across finance, operations, product, and engineering-adjacent systems helps me communicate clearly with business and technical teams.

Outcomes Over Output

I define success in terms of user and business outcomes, not shipped features. Every roadmap item should trace back to a measurable change in adoption, retention, revenue, or operational leverage.

Judgment in Ambiguity

Regulated finance work and founder experience both demand decisions with incomplete information. I frame the risk, pick a reversible path, set a checkpoint, and move, rather than waiting for certainty that never comes.

Learning AI & LLMs

Hands-on with ML and AI systems since 2020. I spend a significant amount of my free time learning large language models the way I learn everything: by building real things with them, shipping to real users, and studying what works. AI is moving fast, and I treat keeping up with it as a core skill, not a hobby.

What I'm Learning Now

  • How to make LLM outputs trustworthy: grounding responses in reliable sources, reducing hallucination, and knowing when a model should say "I don't know."
  • Evaluating AI quality systematically instead of by gut feel, so improvements are measurable and regressions get caught.
  • Agentic and multi-step AI workflows, and where they genuinely beat a single well-designed prompt.
  • The economics of AI products: cost, latency, and quality tradeoffs that decide whether a feature is viable at scale.

How I Learn

  • Build first: every concept I read about gets tested in a working project before I consider it learned.
  • Ship to real users: live products expose the gaps that tutorials and demos hide.
  • Use AI to build AI: modern AI-assisted development tools are part of my daily workflow, which compounds how fast I can learn and iterate.

AI Product Application

  • Design AI-assisted user flows that reduce search friction and speed up first-value moments.
  • Use recommendation loops to improve retention, repeat usage, and conversion quality.
  • Translate business goals into practical AI features aligned with measurable outcomes.

AI + Business Execution

  • Combine finance and analytics discipline with AI workflows for operational decision support.
  • Prioritize scalable implementations with low operational burden and clear feedback loops.
  • Focus on production-minded AI use cases that improve leverage without unnecessary complexity.

Builder Mindset

  • Build in my free time to learn LLMs hands-on: prompting, retrieval, evaluation, AI UX, and technical tradeoffs.
  • Use side projects as a proving ground for ideas, workflows, and product thinking.
  • Launched ChatVET with users: an AI clinical assistant that helps veterinary professionals get trusted, sourced answers fast.

Portfolio Projects

Founder-led and self-directed builds that show product judgment, customer empathy, AI experimentation, and execution outside of work.

ChatVET

Founder / AI Product Builder - Live with users

Built ChatVET as an AI-powered clinical assistant for veterinary professionals. Responses are grounded in trusted veterinary sources rather than the model alone, because in a clinical setting accuracy and traceability are the product. Live with users, and informed by close exposure to veterinary workflows through my wife, who is a veterinarian.

  • Made grounded, source-cited answers the core product decision: clinicians need to verify, not just trust, an AI response.
  • Expanded from chat into diagnostic workflows with a lab-work analysis feature that turns raw results into clinic-ready summaries.
  • Ran the full product lifecycle solo: discovery with practicing vets, prototyping, launch, subscription monetization, and iteration across web and mobile.

Domain Labs

Founder (2021 - 2023)

Built Domainlabs.app as a "GoDaddy-like" platform for the crypto ecosystem, helping users map wallet addresses to recognizable identity. The product grew to 1,300 MAU across 10+ countries, with "Clio" helping users find domains across networks and improving repeat usage. This was a hands-on product build across discovery, UX, go-to-market, analytics, and AI-assisted search.

BitBlock

Founder

Launched a crypto risk simulation platform focused on financial education and literacy. Recognized as runner-up in a Cleveland startup pitch competition, validating the product problem with a market-facing pitch and feedback loop.

Domain Labs Case Study

As an early Bitcoin and Ethereum adopter since 2015, I experienced a recurring trust issue: it was difficult to know exactly who a transaction was being sent to. Domainlabs.app (2021-2023) was built to solve that identity layer and function as a GoDaddy-like experience for Web3. It is the clearest example of how I build outside work, learn quickly, and turn product intuition into something users can try.

Early Bitcoin + Ethereum adopter (since 2015) Scaled to 1,300 MAU across 10+ countries Clio AI for cross-chain domain discovery

Design + UX Goals

  • Reduced cognitive load with simple navigation and clear CTAs.
  • Improved activation speed by guiding users to first domain actions quickly.
  • Built progressive disclosure so advanced users could go deeper without clutter.

Growth + Retention Outcomes

  • Scaled to 1,300 MAU across 10+ countries.
  • Improved return usage with Clio, an AI domain discovery tool across blockchain networks.
  • Combined product analytics with iteration to increase engagement and adoption.
